Moonstruck Shire – Special Photo Story

Moonstruck Shire

I have been asked by a loyal reader to break my policy of not publishing photos, so as a one-time exception, I am going to publish pictures of the completed Hobbit House you have been reading about. My daughter Carolyn suggested a build something like this for my granddaughters, my sister Kathy gave me a sign naming it Moonstruck Shire, my son Thomas helped me seal and waterproof the roof, my son Roger cheered me on (being an attractions guy through-and-through, and my sister Barbara told me I needed lemons on my wall art Roman tree. So here it is from every angle I can think to photograph:

Heading down the hill
The Shire entrance
The finished succulent green roof
View from below…Parking lot to be shielded
The eastern Roman Lemon/Lime Tree wall
The Hobbit Salon…complete with Boca Della Verita
Could I, Wood I
Charlotte & Evelyn growth chart awaiting
The western patio
Tom asking the Boca for pre-nuptial advice…

  1. Those pictures are wonderful! You did a fantastic job designing and building this charming little playhouse. You have two lucky granddaughters!
